Well, writing the application to adopt was not as bad as I had thought; I was able to do it on 3 legal size pieces of paper. Plus, Kaz legal size is slightly larger than our legal size. It has been so long since I have had to write anything of this length by hand. We are so used to being able to type it; even I who cannot type very fast, would have been able to type faster than hand writing it. Anyway, now it is done.

Today is a little colder than yesterday -10, but we still walked back to the hotel after going to the bakery to pick up lunch. I am really starting to miss my turkey and cheese sandwiches and my branston pickle. The food here is good but nothing is familiar, but what we have tried has all been good. Isabel and I are just a little picky. Victoria is always waiting for us in the lobby of the hotel. She also gives us the local weather; at times you would think she was from America as she is always cold and laughs when I say it's not too cold. Today she says it is wishful thinking!!!!!!

The taxi is here so off to see our little one we go, our taxi driver is trying to teach us a few Kazak words as we teach him some English. It is only a short ride to the baby house so we are only up to about half a dozen words. When I went to pick up our little one, I could not see him at first, and then we spotted him sleeping, sucking his thumb. I gently rubbed his back and slowly he started to wake up; such a sleepy head. Then I whispered his name and there was my big morning smile. Now it was breakfast time he was all smiles which made it difficult to feed him but we managed without too much mess. I really have figured it out how to give him the tea without spilling half of it like I did on day one.

Today he was really interested in reading the book that Lea and Dylan loaned us, as where last week he liked it now he loves it. We will have to bring a few on trip 2. The time hear is going pretty fast and when I looked out of the window this morning, I felt a little sad that we are more than half way in to this trip. We are trying to see and do as much as possible as soon it will all be only a wonderful memory.

He is sitting so well now and today was bouncing to the music. They have music on in the group a lot, which is nice. Yesterday a few were crying and then they put the music on and one by one they stopped crying. Again our visit seemed to fly by. It seemed we had just taken our shoes off and now it was time to hand him back. We hope he takes a good nap, and then we are able to play for the whole visit.

Also today Tatyana is coming so after the visit we have to come back to the hotel, so no exploring today, so not a lot of photo's today – sorry.

Our afternoon visit was again very good. When we arrived everybody was crying because they were hungry. When I saw the size of his lunch, I thought this is big enough for me, he is never going to eat it, or if he does it is going to take the entire visit. Well how wrong I was. He ate the whole bowl and drank his tea in record time. When he had finished he sat up and did the loudest burp, I think he even surprised himself.

We think he is getting a little bored with the toys. We have been trying to rotate them, but after almost 2 weeks, he seems to look at them and says “oh these again”, or maybe he is bored with us. He loves to look out of the window and see the comings and goings of the baby house. Today the news team was here and as I was coming back from the bathroom, they asked me a question. Of course I had no idea what they were saying, but maybe they thought I worked there because of what I was wearing; anyway, I guess it is safe to say I will not be on the local news.

We are now back at the hotel Tatyana arrived about an hour ago, and as of yet we have not met her. I think we are meeting her for dinner.

I am really starting to miss home, driving, and our dogs, but as much as I am looking forward to returning, I will miss this special little boy who has stolen our hearts. It will be bitter sweet to leave.
